"That's What She Said" arrived at 10am at the studio in Welland
all a little bit sleepy but ready for the task in hand.
The band warmed up by going through their songs in the live area of the
studio.
Then down to work with Jack laying down the drum parts and Sam playing
the guitar part as a guide for Jack to play along to.
The first song they worked
on was Toxicity which sounded great as the other tracks were gradually
added to the mix. Alex put the bass track down followed by Sam and Dom
recording their guitar parts. The same process was used for Killing In
The Name and then Ben recorded the vocals for each song.
The bands had a bit of fun
by trying to sing backing vocals to boost the chorus of Toxicity, which
in the end Ben ended up doing as he warmed up his vocals each time he
sang the song through.
The end result was great and
it was good to see happy faces all round. The band really enjoyed themselves.
Thanks to the guys at SRP for doing a great job.
